What We Offer:
Marine Acoustics, Inc. provides the best available state-of the-art scientific, engineering, management, and technical services to government, academic, and commercial clients in support of a broad spectrum of environmental, underwater acoustics, and information technology programs.

How We Do It:
MAI's engineers and scientists are actively improving their own products and furthering the development of a variety of new technologies. Our Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) projects have included MATLAB-based signal processing for dense fields of miniature impulsive sources and sonobuoy receivers for the Naval Air Systems Command, and a measurement and prediction tool for the effects of sonic booms on the marine environment.  Our Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) projects include a novel approach to physics-based modeling of acoustic reverberation, for use in undersea warfare, the commercialization of the Integrated Marine Mammal Protection System (IMAPS) for local area monitoring of marine mammals (sub to SSI, Phase III), and the development of a commercial-off-the-shelf voice phrase translation system. These STTR projects are well into or beyond Phase II.

History/Future:
The strength of our organization is in the quality of our professional staff. Our staff members are highly skilled, educated, and experienced people who insist in excellence in all their endeavors. They have come to MAI from a variety of military, industrial, and academic backgrounds. Their educational credentials include degrees in the following disciplines:
